während wir noch trauern

um die Opfer des Tsunami

seiner Folgen in Fukushima

reißt uns der gewaltige

Tsunami der Globalisierung

weltweit mit sich fort

ohne das uns hier

ein Reporter die Zahl

der Opfer nennen könnte

der gebrochenen Dämme

verstümmelten Bewohner

krepierten Gefangenen

so halten wir uns fest

an dem was wir erkennen

trauern blind im eiskalten Wind

For us she is unforgettable like for many people in the Philippines .

Susan Fernandez Magno (August 3, 1956 - July 2, 2009) was a Filipino singer, activist and academic. She was known for her protest music, especially at the height of the authoritarian regime of Ferdinand Marcos.
